The award was presented at the Defense Manufacturing Conference (DMC 2008) in Orlando, Florida, on December 2, 2008. The team was honored for developing the LASer-welded corrugated-CORe (LASCOR) metallic sandwich panel technology that is currently being implemented on the DDG 1000 class of guided-missile destroyer ships and is saving the Navy considerable acquisition cost.)
- TECHQuest Technology Product of the Year Award - (CTC's Real-time Avatars and Environments Learning technology, referred to as REAL technology, won the Technology Product of the Year Award from TECHQuest PA in 2009. TECHQuest PA is a Pennsylvania based organization that encourages and rewards continuing innovation in advanced technology. In 2008 CTC successfully developed and released two new 3D interactive technology products for the U.S. Department of Defense and PA Department of Corrections. This ground-breaking simulation game technology gives the products broad appeal and represents the future of computer-based training rooted in behavioral science.)
- Excellence.Gov Award for Excellence in Acquisition - (The U.S. Interior Department's National Business Center's GovPay program, an electronic invoice system that saved government agencies at least $900,000 in one year, has been honored with a 2009 Excellence.Gov award for its achievements in acquisition technology. GovPay was developed by CTC for the Department of the Interior National Business Center, Acquisition Services Directorate.)
- Defense Logistics Technology Implementation of the Year Award - (CTC was a winner of the Defense Logistics 2008 Technology Implementation of the Year Award for a new technology application developed for the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) to help improve decision support. The Total Life Cycle Management Common Operating Picture (TLCM-COP) application for which CTC was honored provides a common view of weapons systems and equipment status, enabling USMC senior leadership to make decisions efficiently and effectively using the same information as program managers and the fleet.)
